Äthylhexanol,
Ethylhexanol, Iso|octanol, höherer Alkohol, der technisch über die Oxosynthese und Aldoladdition aus Propylen hergestellt wird. Durch Veresterung mit Phthalsäureanhydrid erhält man den PVC-Weichmacher Di-2-äthylhexylphthalat (Dioctylphthalat, Abkürzung DOP).
