COHEN, ISRAEL

(1879-1961)

   English writer. He was born in Manchester. From 1922 he was secretary of the Zionist Organization in London, on whose behalf he visited Jewish communities in Egypt, Australia, China, Manchuria, Japan, Java and India. His writings include Jewish Life in Modern Times, The Zionist Movement, A Short History of Zionism and Theodor Herzl: Founder of Political Zionism.
