BIRNBAUM, EDUARD

(1855-1920)

   Polish liturgical composer and cantor. He was born in Krakow and served as cantor in Beuthen and Konigsberg. He composed liturgical works, catalogued synagogue melodies thematically and collected references to music in rabbinic texts.
