COBO, ROBERTO CALAMBRES

(1930-2002)

   thin, ageless character actor (the son of actor Alejandro Cobo) who started out in juvenile roles, worked as a dancer, and became an accomplished serious actor. Received the Best Juvenile Actor Ariel for Luis Buñuel's Los olvidados (The Forgotten Ones, 1950) and years later captured the Best Actor Ariel for El lugar sin limites (The Place Without Limits, 1977). Active right up until his death in August 2002.
