   Successful contemporary actor and theater director. Chyra debuted in Krzysztof Kieslowski's Decalogue 4 (uncredited), but his breakthrough came with the role of the thug Gerard Nowak in Krzysztof Krauze's Debt (1999), for which he received the Best Actor award at the Festival of Polish Films. He was also awarded for his lead role in Feliks Falk's The Debt Collector (2005). In addition, in recent years Chyra starred in Konrad Niewolski's Symmetry (Symetria, 2003), and, paired with actress Magdalena Cielecka, he appeared in Loneliness Online (2006), directed by Witold Adamek, and Palimpsest (2006), directed by Konrad Niewolski.
