   West out of Basing Lane to Friday Street, in Bread Street Ward (Elmes, 1831). In O.S.1848-51 "Little Friday Lane."
   First mention: W. Stow, 1722.
   Former name : "Pissing Alley" (Leake, 1666).
   In earlier times Distaff Lane seems to have extended further east into the parish of St. Margaret Moses.
   Absorbed into Cannon Street, at its western extension, 1853-4.
