⇒ (usu. used as a threat) to whip or beat s.o. severely; by extension to deal cruelly with s.o. in a more general sense:
- X сдерёт шкуру с Y-a ≈ X will have Y's hide;
- X will skin (flay) Y alive;
- X will beat the hide off Y.
