ABUSIR PAPYRI

   The earliest written documents from Egypt consisting of temple accounts found in the temple of Neferirkare at Abusir dating to Dynasty 5and Dynasty 6. The texts are written in early hieratic. Similar texts were found by a Czech expedition working in the pyramid complex of Khentkauesand more importantly in the nearby temple of Raneferef during 1982–1984.
