LYDEN: Talk to me about this word ethnoburb, which I think was coined by an academic to define what's happening in the greater metropolitan area to California and other...Californian cities...

Mr.YANG: t's really interesting, because when we think about ethnic enclaves historically...you think of places that people have to be because...they can't speak the language, because...they need certain services that are clustered together by definition. But ethnoburbs are essentially enclaves of choice....So...these ethnoburbs are suburban areas that have become gravitational clusters for Asian-American immigrants, in some cases Latino immigrants.
