   French pianist and composer. Born in Paris, he studied at the Paris Conservatoire. A friend of Chopin, George Sand and Liszt, he became a recluse, devoting himself to religious studies and compositions. His works include: Storm at Sea, The Dying Man and Grande Sonate.
