EEL TUFT
a small bundle of brushwood, several of which my be tied along a line. They are about 1 metre in length and resemble brooms; fish hide in these structures and can be caught when they are rapidly pulled from the water or scooped with a net. Used to catch eels, burbot and possibly lampreys in Europe
