ISRAELS, JOZEF

(1824-1911)

   Dutch painter. He was born in Groningen, and earned his living in Amsterdam by painting portraits and historical subjects, including scenes from Jewish life and history. In 1855 he settled in Zandvoort, and later he moved to The Hague.
