   Israeli author. Born in Slutsk, Belorussia, he served as a literary editor of Ha-Zeman. In 1906 he married Sholem Aleichem's daughter. Later he went to Warsaw where he edited the literary page of a Yiddish journal. He eventually settled in the USA where he edited Ha-Toren and Miklat. In 1928 he settled in Palestine and became an editor of Moznayim. He published a translation of the works of Sholom Aleichem.
