AMIEL, MOSES AVIGDOR

(1893-1946)

   Israeli rabbi and writer. After serving as a rabbi in Poland and Antwerp, he became chief rabbi of Tel Aviv in 1936. He established the first modern high school yeshivah in Tel Aviv. His writings include Ha-Middot le-Heker ha-Halakhah, Derashot el Ammi and Hegyonot el Ammi.
