AGUIRRE, RUBÉN

   character actor best known for his role as schoolteacher "Profesor Jirafales" (Professor Giraffe) on the TV show "El Chavo del 8," with Robert Gómez Bolaños, but who made a number of films in the '70s and '80s as well. Originally studied agronomy, then became a radio announcer and actor, as well as a TV host and bullfight journalist, before turning to acting.
