Corynebacteria: translation

Genus of Gram positive non-motile rod-like bacteria, often with a club-shaped appearance. Most are facultative anaerobes with some similarities to mycobacteria and nocardiae. C. diphtheriae is the causative agent of diphtheria and produces a potent exotoxin, diphtheria toxin.
