ATOMIC FORCE MICROSCOPY
atomic force microscopy: translation
A form of scanning probe microscopy, in which a microscopic probe is mechanically tracked over a surface of interest in a series of x-y scans, and the force encountered at each coordinate measured with piezoelectric sensors. This provides information about the chemical nature of a surface at the atomic level.
