Vertebrate glycoprotein of uncertain function. Secreted as a 400 amino acid peptide, then cleaved to form two 200 amino acid peptides that are linked by a disulphide bridge. Also known as complement-associated protein SP-40, complement cytolysis inhibitor (CLI), apolipoprotein J, sulphated glycoprotein 2 (SGP-2), dimeric acid glycoprotein (DAG), glycoprotein III (GpIII).
