BAND, ARNOLD

(b. 1929)

   American literary scholar. He was born in Boston, Massachusetts. He served on the faculty of the University of California at Los Angeles from 1959, becoming professor of Hebrew literature and chairman of the Department of Comparative Literature. His publications include a study of Shemuel Yosef Agnon.
