DAN, JOSEPH

(b. 1935)

   Israeli scholar. He was born in Bratislava, Czechoslovakia, and went to Palestine in 1938. He taught at the Hebrew University, where in 1983 he was appointed the Gershom Scholem Professor of Kabbalah. His publications include Ideological Movements and Conflicts in Jewish History.
