   Organist, composer, professor of harmony at the Paris Conservatoire (1943–1969), he is best known for his Requiem Op. 9 (1947) which decorates Gregorian chants with modernist modal harmonies. He has also published a small number of motets and the mass "Cum Jubilo" (1966).
