1) Mulk Raj, indoenglischer Schriftsteller, * Peshawar 12. 12. 1905; Dozent u. a. in London, Varanasi und Chandigarh; lebt in Bombay. Setzte sich nicht nur mit dem Kolonialismus, sondern auch mit dem Kastensystem kritisch auseinander.Als Romancier und Essayist etablierte er zusammen mit R. K. Narayan und R. Rao die englischsprachige indische Literatur.
