BEHRMAN, SAMUEL NATHAN

(1893-1973)

   American playwright. Initially he wrote book reviews, short stories and articles. Later he produced a series of plays, and in the 1950s wrote essays for the New Yorker, as well as a novel The Burning Glass. He also collaborated on film scripts.
