BENGURION UNIVERSITY OF THE NEGEV

   Located in Beer-sheva, the regional capital of the Negev, it was founded in 1969 with a mandate to spearhead social, agricultural, and industrial growth in Israel's arid southern region. It has a student body of approximately 17,000.
