   A graduate of Brown University and Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design, Buchman, who was at the time designing for Ellen Tracy, joined the Liz Claiborne family where she became head knitwear designer and vice president of sportswear. In 1987, she began a bridge line for the company under her own label. Her look is classic and feminine and provides a fluid aesthetic for her coordinated sportswear. Currently the Buchman brand has five retail stores and plans to expand into the accessories market.
