ALEXANDER, HAIM

(b. 1915)

   Israeli composer and pianist. He was born in Berlin but emigrated to Palestine in 1936. He taught at the Academy of Music in Jerusalem. In addition to composing choral, chamber and orchestral works, he made a series of arrangements of traditional Jewish melodies.
