U.S. Treasury bills. Unlike more typical bills with 13-, 26- or 52-week maturities, cash management bills are issued with maturities selected to match expected tax receipts. American Banker Glossary

Treasury bills with maturities ranging from a few days to six months and issued on a discount basis. They are auctioned in the same way as Treasury bills, although not on a regular cycle, and can be announced as late as the auction day itself. Non-competitive bidding is not authorized for these bills.
