DUJOVNE, LEON
(1899-1984)
Argentine philosopher and communal leader. He was born in Russia and went to Argentina as a child. He taught at the University of Buenos Aires and published studies of Benedict Spinoza and Martin Buber. He also trans-lated the writings of a number of medieval Jewish philosophers into Spanish. He served as president of the Sociedad Hebraica Argentina and the Instituto de Intercambio Cultural Argentina-Israel.
