Allah. Zusammengesetzt ist dieses Wort aus »Al« und »Elah.« Es ist im Arabischen der Name Gottes und das Wort bezeichnet den »Verehrten und zu Verehrenden.« Muhamed legt dem Allah fast alle diejenigen Eigenschaften bei, welche die Bibel dem Ewigen beilegt, – also die Eigenschaften, welche in ihrer Gesammtheit die »Majestät« Gottes bezeichnen.
