Abram: translation

Abram m
Biblical: variant of ABRAHAM (SEE Abraham). It was probably originally a distinct name (meaning ‘high father’ in Hebrew). According to Genesis 17: 5, the patriarch's name was changed by divine command from Abram to Abraham. From the Middle Ages, however, if not before, it was taken to be a contracted version.

Abram: übersetzung

Abram (Adeodatus) et David. (1. Okt.)
