AGOSTI, CARLOS

Spanish actor who, after a substantial screen career in his native country in the 1940s, relocated to Mexico in the '50s and amassed numerous credits well into the '80s, often playing crafty-looking villains. Well-known as the sinister vampire "Count Frankenhausen" in Invasión de los vampiros and El vampiro sangriento ('61). Agosti received an Ariel nomination as Best Supporting Actor for La escondida ('55).
