FLEXNER, BERNARD

   American lawyer and Zionist leader. He was born in Louisville, Kentucky, and practised law in Kentucky, Chicago and New York. He was concerned with social welfare and labour problems as well as the Zionist movement. In 1919 he was counsel to the Zionist delegation at the Paris Peace Conference. He later served as president and chairman of the board of the Palestine Economic Corporation.
