cro-protein: translation

Protein synthesied by bacteriophage lambda in the lytic state. The cro-protein blocks the synthesis of the lambda repressor (that is produced in the lysogenic stage, and inhibits cro-protein synthesis). Production of the cro-protein in turn controls a set of genes associated with rapid virus multiplication.
