(1929- )
An artist in the purest form, Capucci first showed his collection in Florence in 1952. He was hailed as one of Italy's promising young designers and, at the age of nineteen, participated in what is referred to as the "birth" of high fashion in Italy. His designs are sculptures created in cloth and fitted to the body. Best known for his "box shape," Capucci garments are timeless. His colors are intense and he is original in style, giving little thought to the latest trends. In 2003, Bernhard Wilhelm joined this well-respected firm.
