CLAPP, HENRY AUSTIN

   Born in Dorchester, Massachusetts, the drama critic and Shakespeare specialist graduated from Harvard in 1860, served in the Union Army, practiced law, and wrote drama criticism for the Boston Daily Advertiser from 1868 to 1902, followed by two years with the Boston Herald. In 1902, Clapp published his Reminiscences of a Dramatic Critic.
