ARAN, RAYMOND

(1905-83)

   French philosopher. Born into a Parisian family, he taught at various institutions before World War II. He wrote works on international relations, industrial society, Algerian independence, and historical knowledge. His writings include Peace and War, The Great Debate: Theories of Nuclear Strategy and Main Currents in Sociological Thought.
