Recessive disorder of cattle in which a procollagen peptidase is absent. In consequence the amino- and carboxy-terminal peptides of procollagen are not removed, the collagen bundles are disordered, and the dermis is fragile. Similar to Ehlers-Danlos syndrome in humans.
