ATLAN, JEANMICHEL

(1913-60)

   French-Algerian painter and poet. Born in Constantine, Algeria, he went to Paris and studied at the Sorbonne. He published collections of poems, but from 1946 worked as a painter. His works include The Magic Mirrors of King Solomon and The Lion of Judah.
