   Russian Yiddish poet and theatre director. He was born in Moscow and lived in Lodz from 1918 to 1938. He was a journalist, poet and writer of songs for children. He founded a number of small theatres and wrote modest plays and librettos for operas. He was confined to a Siberian labour camp from 1948 to 1955. His wife, Sheyne, Miriam Broderson, described their years of misery in My Tragic Road with Moshe Broderson.
