BRANDON, HENRY

найдено в "Westerns in Cinema"

(1912–1990)
Brandon’s most famous role came in The Searchers (1956), where he portrayed the dastardly Indian chief, Scar, a truly savage Indianwith no redeeming qualities. By the end of the film, however, Ethan Edwards (John Wayne) nearly becomes Scar’s equal in pure barbaric savagery. In his other Westerns, including Robert Aldrich’s Vera Cruz (1954), Brandon was inevitably cast as an Indian despite being of German heritage.
