BLUM, JULIUS

(1843-1919)

   Austrian financier. In 1869 he was sent to Egypt to take charge of the Alexandria branch of an Austrian bank. In 1877 he became under-secretary of finance. In 1890 he resigned, returned to the bank in Vienna and became its president.
