ALA RIZGARI

   One of numerous small Kurdish parties or groups during the unsettled decade of the 1970s in Turkey, Ala Rizgari split off from the Marxist Rizgari in 1979. This new splinter group was sometimes described as Trotskyist and was mostly nonviolent, more flexible in its political position, and also more censorious of the Soviet Union than was Rizgari.
