Bonn, eine reizende Stadt am linken Ufer des Rheins, von den letzten Höhen des Siebengebirges umgeben, mit 12,000 Einwohnern, hat eine schöne Münsterkirche, ein Schloß, Universitätsgebäude, Römer-Platz etc. Man findet römische Alterthümer. Merkwürdig sind hie Bibliothek, das Museum, Akademie der Naturforscher. Es gibt hier Baumwoll-, Seiden-, Vitriol- und Seifenfabriken; – der Handel ist lebhaft.
