BERLINER, ABRAHAM

(1833-1915)

   German literary historian. Born in Posen he taught Jewish history and literature at the Berlin Rabbinical Seminary. His publications include an edition of Rashi's commentary on the Pentateuch, studies of medieval Bible commentators, an edition of Targum Ortkelos, studies of Jewish life in the Middle Ages, and a history of the Jewish community of Rome.
