   American entertainer. Born in Long Island, New York, he studied drama in Los Angeles. At the height of his career, he performed throughout the US. In 1962 he faced narcotics and obscenity charges, and attempted to defend himself in court. From 1964 he was banned from stages in New York. He later committed suicide.
