CROWN OFFICE ROW

   On the north side of the Inner Temple Gardens, within the Temple precincts (P.O. Directory).

   First mention: Rocque, 1746.

   Erected 1737 and rebuilt 1863-4 by Sydney Smirke.

   Named after the Crown Office there.
