calcyclin: translation

Prolactin receptor associated protein, one of a family of small (around 10 kD) calcium-binding proteins containing the EF-hand motif, originally isolated from Erlich ascites tumour cells, but human and rat forms now identified. Regulated through the cell cycle. Binds to annexin II (p36) and to glyceraldehyde-3-phosphate dehydrogenase.
