As such, it publishes the trade magazine Cinema oggi (Cinema Today) and represents the industry on government boards and commissions. As the officially designated representative of the American Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, it organizes the Italian nomination in the Best Foreign Film category of the Oscars. Since 1958 it has also been the official cosponsor of the David di Donatello awards.
