Rooms
Rooms vary in size from medium to large.Although they retain a traditional feel to them, rooms have all mod-cons and are almost luxurious. Decorated in pleasant soft colors, rooms are homely and comfortable. All rooms are in exceptional condition as are the character bathrooms.
Restaurant
Guests have use of two restaurants; The Cafe which is extremely popular with locals and has a lively atmosphere most of the day and evening; and the main restaurant, which offers a more formal dining experience in a luxurious traditional setting.

More of an institution than a mere hotel, this is certainly one of the best hotels in Reykjavik. Opened back in 1930, this hotel has a very high reputation. With its central location, good service and excellent product, success is sure to continue for this famous property.
