CORDERO, JOAQUÍN

   multi-purpose leading man who started out as a male ingenue in the 1940s. By the 1950s he was playing significant roles in numerous pictures and starring in lower-case efforts. From the 1960s onward he has been a stalwart in films and on television (generally in character roles in the past decade). Received the Best Male Co-Star Ariel for Los dos huerfanitas (1950).
